Childrens' Ministry

Picture of Child saying "My Very Own Church"

Kid’s Connection - Where Kid's and the Bible come together!

Children are an important part of the life of our church!  Whatever stage of development your child is in, you'll discover quality programming designed to meet your children's needs.  Our volunteers love children and have a tremendous desire to see their lives transformed.  Kid's four years old to fifth grade can participate in their Very Own Church we call Kid's Connection!

Kid’s start off in the main service and then are dismissed to go to their respective classes. (Pre/K-K, 1st - 2nd grade, and 3rd - 5th grade).  There they will play games, do crafts, learn cool bible stories from the Old and New Testaments and occasionally watch an exciting puppet show! Most of all the children will learn how much God loves them.  Please stop by the class area before church to sign children in and pick up name tags. For security reasons, parents or guardians of Pre-k to 2nd grade will also need to pick up a numbered wrist band that matches their child’s nametag number.

We hope your children will join us for this exciting time full of fun and truth!

Other Children's Ministry Events

Christmas Pageant

Every year we hold a Christmas Pageant that the children work very hard on. Practices are usually in place of Kid’s Connection. The children are encouraged to memorize their lines at home but will have time during practices to do so as well. We hope you can join us for this fun production.

Vacation Bible School

Each summer after school is out and before summer school begins, we hold a VBS. Since we do not have a church building, we use a Community Building at a great central location serving the Blaine area.  We plan an exciting week of playing, singing, crafting, drama and much more. Kids even get to star each day in their own PowerPoint Story Slide show.

Gym Time

During the summer, we give our hard working teachers a break. Every other week we have Gym Time, where the kids gather after being dismissed from the main service. There they get to expend energy and play basketball, soccer, dodge ball and other great games until the service is over. On the opposite weeks, we hand out activity bags to keep busy hands quiet. These bags are full of bible stories, coloring and activity sheets.

Sermon in the Sack

During the summer we have sermon in the sack. A lucky child gets to bring something from home in a paper sack and one of the elders must give an impromptu sermon about it front of the whole church!
